Enabling Agricultural Traceability through Data Interoperability
You are invited to provide feedback on the data interoperability framework and help the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) to improve traceability outcomes for Australia’s agricultural sector.
Effective traceability needs to be supported by efficient sharing of data and standardised ways for exchanging and interpreting data across the supply chain (interoperability).
The National Agricultural Traceability Strategy 2023 to 2033 identifies data interoperability as key to reducing agricultural traceability costs, increasing product value add, and responding to food safety and biosecurity risks.
To enable this, industry and government have partnered together to develop a data interoperability framework. You can now provide feedback on the proposed draft framework.
Your feedback will help us:
- Confirm the recommended approaches for enabling data interoperability are valuable and practical to implement.
- Understand how the recommendations could assist various stakeholder groups and identify areas for improvement.
- Understand any potential barriers to the framework being adopted.
Have your say
To have your say please:
- Read and consider the draft consultation paper and the information sheets
- Take our survey now.
Submit your feedback by 4 pm (AEST), 14 June 2024
The Australian Agricultural Traceability Data Standards Working Group will consider your feedback and update the draft framework as needed.
